Bohemian Night open-mic hosted by Rob Sowden
I'm starting to see Wednesday nights at Deja Vu as my home ground. I always feel I play better there; it might be just because I've become familiar with it. Anyway it was another excellent night of music. The stand out for me, and I hope my other fellow musician s aren't offended by my saying this, was Alex Coleman. What a terrific version of Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues. I thought Alex's was better than the original actually (which I think is a bit too jolly) and can still hear his "I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die". It's a shame he played Oasis' Wonderwall afterwards but hey nobody's perfect (:-)
