With song titles such as Addicted To Love; Love Is The Drug; Ain't No Cure For Love; Just Another High etc who'd have thought that "love" could be addictive? Nevertheless I thought the above video of a lecture by Helen Fisher was interesting.

It's been a bit quiet on www.andrewshearer.com over the past week or so, largely due to my attempt to finish a short story, called Love Is The Drug, that is related to what Helen Fisher talks about. It could be the best thing I've ever written but then I would say that. (And of course I've still got that "post-creation" euphoria.) No previews or publication here I'm afraid as the competition rules that I've entered the story into don't allow it. Entering a competition is always a long shot but who knows? Fingers crossed.
