To the Crackerjack Gang
Subject: commitment
Hi,
Those of you that know me reasonably well will be amused by the irony of the fact that I've been accused of "batmobiling", that is basically being a "commitment phobe". Now I know some of you think I should be committed to an asylum but to counter the batmobiling claim I want to let you know that I have actually set a date for the first public performance of some songs I've been working on this year. Unsurprisingly it will be at R.I.S.C., and is on 11th December (2008!) at 9pm. Now this could be a car crash of spectacular proportions so it might just be worth just turning up.
In addition, I know most of you will find it hard to believe, since I'm the least likely person to have an argument with anybody, but there's a problem with my guitarist at the moment - let's just say: musical differences. The result is there's a chance that he's not going to play on the 11th or if he does, there might be a fight. Surely this is an evening that should be on your Christmas calendar?
And if there needed to be any other reason to turn up, Wei Joo you can bring an evaluation form (:-))).
.......................................
All,
Seriously, I know it's a busy time of year and I won't be offended if you can't make it but I just wanted to let you know that the above is happening.
I hope you're all well.
With best wishes,
Andrew
PS. I'll be in R.I.S.C. later, if anybody's interested....
