Hi,
A relatively quiet week from me performance-wise as I try to catch up on other work (and life). The report of the one performance is called: "Shameless Pandering".
Last night I saw Luke Paulo perform an excellent showcase supporting Damien A Passmore at Deja Vu in Reading. In addition to having an enjoyable evening it was useful for me to get to know the the format of the evening as I'm doing a similar showcase in two weeks' time supporting Jack Cade. One of the things I've learned is that the proprietor understandably hopes that the acts will draw in extra customers (though last night the venue seemed lively regardless of the live music). It would do me a big favour kudos-wise if any of you could come along on 24th February please as I think it would certainly make it more likely to be able to play again there soon. I should add that should you come along, not only will you obvioulsy have my everlasting gratitude (which I'd like to point out is non-transferable to money or any other material gain!) but also the added bonus of a superb Americana act following me.
And finally, I just want to draw your attention to Silvertooth Slim. I first met Slim on the open-mic circuit last year. We kind of bonded a little through our shared mutual terror of getting on stage. I haven't seen him for a while but I've learned that he has just released some new videos and music. If great old style acoustic blues is your thing, I'd really recommend that you check him out.
For up-to-date information about my performances please refer to the Gig 2012 page.
Hope you're having a great (albeit probably another cold) weekend.
With Best Wishes,
Andrew
