Only one performance from me since I last wrote:
"Queue-jumpers and The Like" (includes a comment on open-mic etiquette")
There have been a number of blogs from me in this period however. The first relates to the artist Oily Urchin who became a Facebook fan last week. He is an artist that I discovered towards the end of last year when I saw one of his paintings in a cafe window. The second blog relates to when I briefly met Ray Davies (lead singer and songwriter of The Kinks) in Lyme Regis with twelve teenagers in tow. The final blog is almost like an appendum to the the Ray Davies story and just provides a link to an interview where Davies talks about his fear of forgetting the lines to one of his most famous songs at the Olympics' closing ceremony which I found strangely reassuring.
Finally, next Friday (31st August), I shall be opening the evening for Raji K's Scratched Thoughts EP launch. I shall be playing at 8:30pm. If any of you can make it, it would be great to see you there. More details for the evening can be found here.
Have a great weekend.
With Best Wishes,
